November
In November the sun bids farewell and descends towards its grave, surrounded by mist and rain. This is the season of the olive harvest and the slaughter of the pigs that would sustain families throughout the winter. The month begins with the days of the dead, when boundaries grow indistinct; cemeteries are tended, ritual collections and processions for the dead take place, and tales are told or performed in which contact with the Otherworld, often terrifying, becomes a central element.
