In this section you will find books devoted to the narratives of oral and popular culture, particularly legends and folktales, but occasionally also to traditions and customs that help us better understand the contexts in which these stories exist and the worlds of belief in which folk narratives unfold. Our main focus will be on anthologies and scholarly studies, both historical and contemporary.

You will also find biographical articles on major authors and folklorists from Catalan history, such as Francesc Maspons i Labrós and Sara Llorens, as well as figures from other countries, including the Italian Giuseppe Pitré and the Russian Aleksandr Afanàssiev. We will explore their times, the circumstances surrounding their publications, their contributions, and the ways in which they approached and passed down the original materials.
